On the night of April 10, 2009, Team Sprout joined up with several other cachers to hunt GC1NCEK: Heart of Darkness. This find was the 1000th for Sprout!

Sprout made his first cache hunt at GC134A: You're A Troll on March 7, 2003. Like many of us, this first hunt resulted in a DNF. Since then, he has had many caching adventures. Let's hope he shares some stories with us over biscuits and gravy.

So come on out and join the festivities! 10am, June 13, 2009 at Hazel's in Olive Branch. Bring something for Sprout's golden ammo can! There might even be some caching to be done after brunch!

GeoWoodstock VII (GC1CG5G) will be held on Saturday, May 23rd (Memorial Day weekend) in the historic town of Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Geowoodstock is a geocaching mega event like no other! There are a variety of activities all day, geocoin trading, vendor displays, and great impromptu cache runs! Cachers from all over the world will attend and it's a fantastic chance to meet a lot of folks who enjoy the sport as much as you do!

GeoWoodstock, held once each year, is the world's largest gathering of geocachers. Combining a “meet and greet” opportunity for players from around the world with a series of classes and workshops, the single largest assembly of Geocaching related vendors and appearances by legends of the Geocaching community, GeoWoodstock has grown from a small meeting into the international annual convention for the game of Geocaching.

Bell Buckle, a railroad village of preserved and restored Victorian homes and churches, is nestled among the hills, farmland and Walking Horse country of Bedford County, Tennessee. Established in 1852, the little town of Bell Buckle has become known far and wide for antiques, quilts, handmade crafts, country music, home-cooking and Southern hospitality. Bell Buckle is conveniently located between Interstates 24 and 65 in Middle Tennessee.

"Night Caches" are those geocaches designed specifically to be hunted at night. This event will introduce the concept of night caching and will provide attendees with some "tricks of the trade" to help make their night caching adventures more enjoyable & safe.

This event will be held at the pavilion in Cameron Brown Park in Germantown, Tennessee, at 6:30pm on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Parking is plentiful near the pavilion.

After the event, the instructors will take anyone interested to hunt some of the night caches in the park and surrounding area. Everyone is welcome to attend. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring your flashlight!

The Geocachers of West Tennessee invite all geocachers to join us in celebrating the 1000th find of Tiger130. Her 1K find was the Nerodia Sipedon Cache on June 7, 2008.
