Vance & Chance #1: The Castle by itcomagic (GCY4JE)

This cache is located in an area highlighted in the Commercial Appeal's "True Crime" series.

A quote from the Commercial Appeal article:
"A decade of police reports show the neighborhood has recorded more incidents of violent crime than any other residential neighborhood in all of Memphis.

In fact, on average, a violent crime was reported in that area nearly every other day for almost a decade.

There have been five murders in the 1300 block of Clementine, the dead-end street where the apartment complex is located, since 2006."

The castle is actually the Warren Market named in the story.

That's all the info I needed to scratch this one off my list. The last few logs on the cache site would probably have kept me away as well.

I drove by there about a month ago. Got out, looked at the people staring at me and got back in. I stood out like a ham sandwich in a room of people who haven't eaten in two weeks.

Make it a 5/5 for the equipment needed (including permit) and terrain (hazardous material on grounds).

I did this one with scott and another couple. The area was quite when we went. Hey then again it was on a Sunday around church time.
